5 Simple Ways to Eat Avocado That Aren't On Toast

There's no denying that #avocadotoast is probably the best thing invented since sliced bread and I don’t know about you, but I am experiencing avocado toast fatigue. If you need help getting out of your avo-toast rut, we can help!

Here are 5 fresh and new ways to enjoy avocados, none of which include a toaster or tortilla chips

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Avocado for dessert? It's not as crazy as it sounds (avocado is a fruit after all). The significant fat content of avocado makes this mousse exceptionally creamy while remaining dairy-free.

Simply melt the dark chocolate and blend with the other ingredients and refrigerate for a couple of hours to create a rich, tasty treat that is also healthy.

Make a Smoothie

Avocado smoothies are incredibly creamy and delicious! Avocados are also high in healthy fats and have fewer carbohydrates than many other fruits, making them a unique fruit that goes well with a fruit-based smoothie. Pairing a fat (avocado) with a carbohydrate (other fruits) helps to slow the release of sugar into the bloodstream AKA more stable blood sugar levels! Additionally,  the fat content of the avocado increases the absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins in the smoothie! Some fruits that go well with avocados include mango, pineapple, and bananas.

Avocado Fries

Crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle, avocado fries are SO fun and delicious! Devour them hot with a tasty sauce for dipping.

Create Sauces/Dressings

Avocados make an incredible creamy sauce or dressing, similar to how they give creaminess to smoothies. Also, whereas many creamy sauces and dressings contain milk or cream, this fruit provides creaminess without the use of dairy, making it suitable for dairy-free diets (such as those who may be lactose intolerant, vegan, or allergic to dairy).

Avocado Salad

Create a simple yet delicious avocado salad by combining tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, bell peppers, avocado, feta cheese, cilantro and lemon juice! Add in your seasonings of choice and enjoy! This avocado salad will disappear so fast and you’ll wish there was more of it.

Is anyone else hungry now? I hope these ideas will inspire you to get creative with this amazing fruit and revive you from your avocado toast fatigue.
