If the concept of meal prepping is daunting to you then don’t worry, I have good news! You don’t need to be an expert meal prepper to be able to reach your weight loss or weight maintenance goals!
I know many people, myself included, that have had the best intentions of prepping meals for the week, only to find that they aren’t interested in leftover chicken 2 days after it has been prepared. What I have found works wonderfully is to prep your ingredients ahead of time, so you can quickly prepare meals at the time you are going to serve them.
Here is an example:
Chicken fajitas: you can prep the chicken by cutting into strips or buying the meat pre cut into strips, you can prep the peppers and onions by cutting into strips ahead of time as well. Now, when you want to enjoy them for dinner all you really are doing is taking your prepped ingredients and tossing them into a saute pan or sheet pan and cooking them and then assembling your fajitas after.
This is just one small example, and one that I mention in The Elite Method 28 Day Program. I encourage you to get creative and don’t feel bad about taking shortcuts like pre-cut veggies or pre-cooked rice if it helps you get a healthy meal on the table instead of ordering take out!
